At Fix it Frankie, we don’t just follow the Golden Rule of treating others how we’d like to be treated. We embrace the Platinum Rule: treat others how they want to be treated. It’s about trying to go beyond expectations, meeting people where they are, and helping them win in a trustworthy and grateful manner.
Here’s how we put Ma’s wisdom into practice every single day:
1. Show Up When You Need Us
People’s time is valuable, and we respect that. That’s why we prioritize:
- Family first—when you join our family, your emergencies are our priority.
- First come, first served—because fairness matters, we prioritize our Family Members first because they pay for that privilege.
- Self-inflicted punishment—if we don’t show up when we say we will, we pay you a dollar for every minute we’re late, up to $60, as a small way of apologizing for wasting your time.
When you need us, we’ll be there. No excuses, no delays.
2. Do What We Say We Will Do
Trust is built on keeping promises, so we:
- We endeavor to always follow through on what we say we’ll do. If we don’t, you don’t pay. Fair’s fair.
- We don’t sweat the small stuff—it’s hard enough with high gas and food prices. If you have a small something wrong and we can give it a simple fix, we’re just going to take care of it.
- We can fix the one you got—while so many people are trying to sell you all the time, we know if you had someone you trust, you’d likely use them when you actually need the big thing replaced. Until then, keep your money in your pocket where it belongs.
If we ever fall short, we hold ourselves accountable. That means making it right by respecting your money, energy, and time.
3. Fix It First. Fix it Right
We don’t believe in shortcuts or band-aid fixes. Here’s what you can expect:
- Most everything can be fixed for a fraction of the price of a replacement. You just have to know how. Let’s at least try to fix it first. We’ll replace it only when we have to.
- A job done right, no half measures. Your money, energy, and time are far too valuable to be wasted with endless repairs and breakdowns.
- Standing behind our work with commitment. All parts, all labor. No weasel words to get out of jail free.
With the right attitude and training, there’s no problem too big or small. At Fix it Frankie, “just good enough” is below standard. Fixing it first and fixing it right are the only standards to live by.
4. We Mind Our Manners
It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it.
- We believe manners maketh the man in every interaction.
- We believe humility and gratitude should guide our actions and behavior.
- We believe we should always be on our best behavior, whether we’re on the clock or off.
Gotta make Ma proud, after all.
5. See the Person, Not the Sale
Behind every request is a person with their own needs, challenges, and goals. We aim to:
- Understand your unique situation and find a real cure for the pain, not just a painkiller for the symptoms.
- Offer tailored solutions to what matters most to your needs, the environmental needs, and the practical needs of the solution being presented.
- Recognize this for what it is—nobody gets excited about air conditioning repairs, maintenance, or replacements, so maybe let's make this easier for you to buy what you need so you can get back to your life.
Whether it’s making your air conditioner invisible again or responding to your emergency late at night, we’re here to help you, not the other way around.
6. We Protect What Matters Most
Trust, relationships, and a job well done—these are things worth defending. We’re committed to:
- We’re building a culture of dependability and respect for our coworkers, customers, and community.
- We will never compromise on the quality of our work or the integrity of our word.
- Giving back to the teachers, first responders, seniors, and military who’ve protected and served us.
More than anything, it’s the people that matter most. How we can make them feel. How we act and behave. How we show up for others. That's worth fighting for.
7. Elevate the Experience
Sure, we fix things. We’re pretty darn good at it. But why not have some fun along the way. No question, if you’re seeing us, it’s not a fun day. But that doesn’t mean we can’t turn things around and make it a great day!
- We believe you shouldn’t feel like we’re always trying to sell you something when all you want is your AC System maintenance done.
- We believe we can always leave things a little bit better than how we found them, and you shouldn't have to pay for that. The minimum standard is below our standard. Good enough for us is the basement. We’re not leaving until we at least hit the ground floor, if not more.
- We believe in uplifting our clients and community with genuine care and positivity. While we might make our job look easy, we promise we’ve put in the time and effort to make it seem effortless to the untrained eye.
When you win, we win. There is no other way.
8. Be Adaptable and Respectful
No two people are the same. We take the time to:
- We want to listen first and act second. This allows us to adapt to your unique needs and preferences and not just spit out a cookie-cutter response.
- Customize our approach—no two homes, families, or situations are the same. That’s why we tailor every repair or installation to fit your unique circumstances. Being flexible is key to doing things right.
- Stay flexible under pressure—when things don’t go as planned, we adapt. That means quickly adjusting to unexpected changes or challenges and staying calm and resourceful to find solutions that keep you happy and stress-free.
Being adaptable isn’t just about getting the job done—it’s about making sure it’s done in a way that works for you.
9. Stay Unshakably Authentic
At Fix it Frankie, authenticity isn’t a buzzword; it’s who we are. That means:
- Being true to my word every single time. Ma wouldn’t have it any other way.
- Owning up to my mistakes with humility and action. I promise I won’t always get it right, but I promise to make it right, no matter what.
- We never forget that our reputation is built on doing the right thing—especially when it’s the hard thing.
Growing up poor has me super aware of what life is like for lots of people. Even if you have money, you don’t want to be wasting it on frivolous things.
I like nice stuff, like anyone, but I also know the value of taking care of the things you already have and making good money choices for me and my family. I only want to be as respectful to you as I would want others to be for me.
Helping You Win with Gratitude and Trust
Ma always said, “Anything can be fixed with the right attitude and training.” And she was right. Fix it Frankie is here to ensure you’re not just taken care of but respected and valued every step of the way. That means treating your money, energy, and time with the same dignity and respect I had for my Ma growing up.
When we show up, fix it right the first time, and stand behind our work with humility and gratitude, we’re not just running a business—we’re building relationships that last a lifetime.
Because at the end of the day, our job is simple: to help people win in a trustworthy and grateful manner.
